WELCOME TO THE TROOP 11 DIAMOND JUBILEE  SITE!
Troop 11 is the oldest Catholic sponsored troop in the Gateway Area Council and has been continuously registered since December, 1927.  On October 26, 2002 we  anticipated the completion of 75 years of serving Cathedral area youth with a gathering and Eagle presentation for the 21 new Eagles.

The evening started at St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral with the 5:10PM Mass.  An Eagle Court of Honor  followed the Mass at 6:30PM honoring the 21 Scouts in the 2002 Troop 11 Eagle class.  Lt. Col. Donald Donahue, Medical Ops Officer to the Chief of Army Reserve at the Pentagon, the Honorable Ron Kind 3rd district member of Congress, and the  Most Reverend Raymond Burke, Bishop of La Crosse were honored guests.  Following the Eagle ceremony the focus shifted to the Holy Cross Diocesan Center Dining Room for a reception at 7:30PM honoring 75 years of service by Troop 11.  A sitdown dinner followed in the Holy Cross Diocesan Center Dining Room with <> 300 in attendance.  A program followed the dinner highlighting the history of Troop 11.  All Eagles were given a copy of the poem, 'ONE DAY YEARS AGO' by John Leisgang, which is now presented to new Eagles.  The program adjourn at 10:15PM.  There was also a display of Scout memorabilia including a Scoutmaster Handbook from the 1920s that was owned by a Troop 11 Scoutmaster.
